Bathroom Remodel Cost in Fort Worth (2026): What We Actually Charge

The price question is usually the first one we get, and it should be. This guide gives you the same numbers we quote in person — our real working ranges, not national averages — and explains what moves a bathroom project from one end of a range to the other. We confirm every number after a free walk-through, and the estimate spells out exactly what’s included so there are no surprise line items later.

The Short Answer

  • Full primary (master) bathroom remodel: $25,000–$45,000
  • Full guest or hall bathroom remodel: $12,000–$18,000
  • Half bath / powder room: $5,000–$10,000

Those are different rooms with different scopes, which is why we never quote a bathroom without knowing which one you mean. A primary bath carries the shower system, the storage, and most of the plumbing work. A guest bath is usually simpler, and the price reflects that honestly.

What Each Primary-Bath Budget Actually Buys

  • $25,000–$30,000. A refresh that keeps the existing layout: new tub or shower in the same spot, new tile, new vanity and countertop, new flooring, paint, and fixtures. For a bathroom with good bones, this tier is often all a family needs.
  • $30,000–$38,000. The tier we build most. This is tub-to-shower conversion territory: the tub comes out and a tiled walk-in shower goes in with a properly built waterproofing system, plumbing valve and drain updates, an upgraded vanity and storage plan, and better tile run further up the walls.
  • $38,000–$45,000. The full gut remodel: custom shower, layout changes, and updated plumbing and electrical behind the walls. If we are moving fixtures or opening walls, the project lives here.

See the bathroom remodeling service page for our process from estimate to final walkthrough.

Smaller, Defined Bathroom Scopes

Not every bathroom needs the full remodel, and we price the smaller scopes plainly too:

  • Tile surround + waterproofing only: $4,500–$5,500 (about a week)
  • Surround + tub replacement: $6,000–$9,000
  • Vanity-only replacement: $3,000–$5,000

If you want a tub converted to a walk-in shower as a standalone project, we do those regularly — the shower system gets rebuilt correctly with slope, waterproofing, and properly placed drainage, and we price it after seeing the space.

What Moves the Number

Three things move a bathroom budget more than anything else: tile selections, layout changes, and what we find behind the walls. Tile has a wide price spread, and running it higher up the walls adds labor. Moving the toilet, sink, or shower means new plumbing runs and inspections. And in older Fort Worth homes, demo sometimes uncovers past leaks or rotten subfloor — when that happens, we stop, show you photos, and price the fix in writing before any extra work begins. What we won’t do is bury damage behind new tile and hand the problem to the next owner.

How We Build It

Every shower we build gets a Schluter waterproofing system — waterproofing is a system, not a paint-on afterthought. Shower glass is frameless only. Fixtures are typically Delta or Moen. Crews run Monday through Friday, 8am to 6:30pm, plus a couple of Saturdays a month when a schedule calls for it. Xavier walks projects daily and Chris reviews every project at least weekly, so nothing drifts quietly.

Payment, Quotes, and Paperwork

  • Projects under $60,000: 50% down, 50% at completion.
  • We accept check, Zelle, bank transfer, or cash; credit cards carry a 2.9% processing fee.
  • Quotes are good for 30 days.
  • Change orders are priced at cost plus 25%, in writing, before the work continues.
  • Permits are billed at cost and are not padded into the quote.

Fort Worth Specifics

We are a Fort Worth & Aledo city-registered building contractor (#RB026782 / #25-000007), insured. When your scope requires a permit, we coordinate the permit and plan the project around inspection steps so the job stays on track. If you are nearby — Keller, for example — the ranges work the same way; the Keller bathroom cost guide walks through that market specifically.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is a guest bath so much less than a primary bath?

Scope. A full guest or hall bath runs $12,000–$18,000 because it is usually a smaller room with a simpler shower system and less storage. A primary bath runs $25,000–$45,000 because it carries the custom shower, the vanity wall, and most of the plumbing and electrical work.

Can you convert my tub into a walk-in shower?

Yes. We remove the tub and rebuild the shower correctly — slope, waterproofing membrane, sealed penetrations, and properly placed drainage. It is the signature move of our mid-tier remodels.

Do you help with design and selections?

Yes. We help you choose finishes that match your budget and timeline, and we will steer you away from choices that commonly cause delays or performance problems. Selections get locked before demo so your bathroom does not sit half-finished waiting on a freight truck.

Do you work with insurance rebuilds?

Yes. You own the claim; we do the rebuild and document the work properly.
