Half Bath and Powder Room Remodel Cost in Fort Worth: What We Actually Charge
The powder room is the smallest room in the house and the one your guests actually see. Remodeling one in Fort Worth runs $5,000–$10,000 — the same range we quote in person, confirmed after a free walk-through. Here is what that number really buys, and what pushes it up or down.
The Short Answer
- Half bath / powder room remodel: $5,000–$10,000 — the full room: vanity, toilet, flooring, tile accents, paint, lighting, and hardware.
- No tub or shower is what makes it a “half” bath — and it is why the range sits where it does. The moment a shower enters the picture, you are in full guest bath territory: $15,000–$20,000.
- Vanity-only replacement: $3,000–$5,000 — the honest scope when the rest of the room still works.

What the $5,000–$10,000 Actually Buys
- Demo and haul-off of the old room
- A new vanity, countertop, and faucet — typically Delta or Moen unless you bring your own selections
- A new or reset toilet
- New flooring — a small enough footprint that better tile is actually affordable here
- Tile or wainscot accents, paint, lighting, mirror, and hardware
Where Powder Rooms Punch Above Their Weight
Small quantities change the math. A designer tile that would blow the budget across a primary bathroom wall costs a manageable amount across one powder-room accent wall. This is the room for the bold wallpaper-look tile, the statement mirror, the light fixture with some personality. Guests form their opinion of your whole remodel in this room, and it is the least expensive place in the house to impress them.
What Moves the Number
Three things: whether plumbing moves, how far the tile goes, and fixture grade. Keeping the sink and toilet where they are keeps you toward the low end. Moving either one adds plumbing runs and pushes toward the top. And one honest note on the low side: the smallest projects we typically take on run about $5,000 and up — a faucet swap or a single repair is handyman territory, and we will tell you so rather than quote you contractor money for it.
How We Build It
Same crew standards as our biggest projects: crews Monday through Friday, 8am to 6:30pm, plus a couple of Saturdays a month when a schedule calls for it. Xavier walks projects daily and Chris reviews every project at least weekly. The full process from estimate to walkthrough is on our bathroom remodeling page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does such a small room cost $5,000–$10,000?
Because the trades still show up. A powder room remodel touches plumbing, electrical, tile, and paint — four trades in forty square feet. The room is small; the work is real. What the small footprint does buy you is better materials for the money.
Can you add a half bath where there is not one today?
That is a different project than remodeling an existing room — it means new plumbing runs, venting, and sometimes structural work, and the price depends entirely on where it goes. We scope those at a walk-through rather than guessing at a range here.
What if we just want the vanity replaced?
That is a defined scope of its own: $3,000–$5,000, including the vanity, countertop, faucet, and hookup. No pressure to expand it.
Do powder room remodels need permits?
Same rule as every bathroom: when the scope requires one, we coordinate it and plan around inspections. Permits are billed at cost — never padded into the quote.
